Graduation Day at Equippers Kids

At Equippers Kids, our mission is simple - to nurture confident and capable learners. This is why we talk a lot about preparing each child for school, and it all leads to Graduation Day.

Our pre-school programme includes lunch box days, mat times, number and letter recognition and so many more activities that all ensure each child is ready for “big” school when the day arrives.

We think starting school is a huge milestone and so do the tamariki.

Graduation Day is enjoyed by the entire class so that each child knows exactly what will happen and they excitedly await their own turn.

The Graduating child gets to wear a very special korowai. They get to choose their favourite song for everyone to sing. The graduating child’s parents are invited to share.

Of course we are so excited for each child’s next step but also a little bit sad to say goodbye. We then ask the children to pray for their friend who is leaving - this ensures a very special blessing.

After that, a teacher shares the child’s portfolio - this shows their learning journey at Equippers Kids from their very first day.
