We Believe
That each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating environment in which to grow and mature spiritually, emotionally, intellectually, socially and physically.
That every child should be allowed access to quality education that provides interaction and learning experiences between other children, teachers, parents and their community.
That learning should be fun and exciting! Our Centre will be an inviting and safe place where children are inspired to be creative with a desire and love to play and learn.
Philosophy
Our teaching philosophy is to promote cooperative learning strategies with the integration of technology into the classroom to provide an environment where children will use self-discovery and hands-on approach to learning.
Curriculum
Our programme aims to encourage and foster all the layers of a child and their development: physically, emotionally, cognitively, socially and spiritually (their well-being and self-esteem), and there is strong emphasis on supporting children’s current needs – this is underpinned by Te Whariki, the New Zealand ECE Curriculum and our commitment to honour the nation’s commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi.
Culture and Heritage
We understand the importance of supporting the individual heritage and cultural identity of each child and their family/whānau. We aspire to affirm and celebrate every child’s cultural uniqueness and encourage a positive awareness of their own culture and that of their peers.
